OUR STORY

Hi, we are Katie & Abe! We purchased the farm in May 2024, with our two young boys and a baby girl on the way, after dreaming of raising our children and dogs on our own small hobby farm. During our search we stumbled upon 2402 Fifth Line Road, only a short drive from our business and previous home that we had quickly outgrown. We took the plunge knowing it would be a challenge, but were excited at the idea of offering it to our community for their families to enjoy as well. 

 

How did the farm get its name? Travellers Lane Equestrian & Events came from two sources. We had purchased our lovely horse, a gorgeous black & white Arabian cross named Gypsy, prior to moving to the farm, and while in the pre-purchasing process we had discovered that the road allowance into the property was once called Travellers Lane. Traveller is another term for Gypsy, so we decided it all correlated too well to ignore, and that is how the farm became known as Travellers Lane Equestrian & Events.

 

We opened the facility up to horse boarding and spent the summer learning the ropes and cleaning the property up. We still have a lot to go, but can’t wait to share it with everyone!
